Nigeria’s film industry on Wednesday night made a break-through in what is anticipated to “lead a revolution in African cinema”
Air France released a preview of the film “The CEO” by Kunle Afolayan- labeled as arguably the best film-maker in the West African country, aboard it’s flight AF149 From Lagos to Paris.
Afolayan’s sponsors and lead actors were treated to a short clip of the film on the flight. The special premier edition was the first of it’s kind for the African continent.
“We decided to come up with this initiative to show the world that Africans are innovative, Nigerians are special people. And it is amazing to see a company like Air France supporting this kind of thing, they have been here for a long time, they are giving back to art and they are supporting evolution,” Afolayan told reporters at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
